Description
NeoniteThe Tetra Pokemon
Water/Steel Type
"They live in warm tropical rivers, and are popular as pets because of their bright colours. By flashing their lights at once they can blind predators and safely escape."
Tankton
The LongFish Pokemon
Water/Steel Type
"Steel-hard scales have protected this pokemon since prehistoric times. A single hit from its head is enough to sink any boat."
The eyes are meant to look like the top part of a screw. I had to do a tetra pokemon as I own some.
The evo is based on an Arapaima, but it might still change.
They learn some electric type moves such as Spark.

I find it hard to strike a balance between it looking robotic and it looking like a steel type. I was worried these looked more like robot fish? I feel better thanks to you now.

I love neon Tetra, but this one more resembles a cardinal tetra(The red stretches the length of the belly, neons only go halfway ;3) But seriously, this is adorable.
For a name you could go with "Metra" just since.. I can't think on the fly all that well xD Your pokemon ideas make me wanna remake my old fakes oAo

Ah yeah it does look more like a cardinal haha, I originally had it more like a neon but it just looked like a cartoon neon so! oh well it's a generic tetra then xD
Woop do it remake them!

So cute.
For the name, maybe Alumineon/Carboneon/Alloneon... but that's too similar to Lumineon.
How 'bout Battetra (battery + tetra)?
...or Jetra (waterjet + tetra) which I think would suits its evo...
... or Neonite (neon + -nite to give it some "metal"-sounding name; it could 'lite' too, considering it's small and lightweight...)

Kyle-Dove In reply to zephleit [2012-12-04 00:18:18 +0000 UTC]
Oh my god, Alumineon is SO genius! It sucks that it's similar to lumineon. I wish I had your naming skills! I'm gonna go neonite it's so cool.

So... I just thought of names for the evo...
Allopaima or Pirarucite (Arapaima are also called (Pirarucu)
Araminum could work too.

Ah thanks I was hoping you'd suggest some!
Have you got any others? hehe, they just sound a bit hard to pronounce. It's cool you knew the other name for Arapaima!

Do you want something that still has an "-ite" suffix?

That's what I was thinking yeah, but if there's something else better I dont mind.

zephleit In reply to Kyle-Dove [2012-12-04 14:13:56 +0000 UTC]
Hmmm... you didn't like Araminum? ;u;
:: Gigalite/Gigaton (since it's considered as one of the largest freshwater fishes)
:: Ferrus (from Ferrum [iron])
:: Neolic (neon + metallic)
:: Orypaima (ory meaning "metallic")
:: Tanktite/Tankton
:: Cobalton/Cobaltank/Cobalite (since it's colored cobalt blue)

Kyle-Dove In reply to zephleit [2012-12-04 14:22:04 +0000 UTC]
Well Araminum uses the Arapaima name, which isn't very well known. Also I keep reading it as Aramimun? I dunno why lol.
Gigalite yes! It's perfect! Wow you're really impressing me with all these facts haha. I might have to call on your services every time I need something named haha. Thank you so much <3
