Seeing how nintendo no longer want to do pokemon following you...I might take it upon myself to do all new ones!I seriously don't understand how they could remove this much-loved feature. Nearly everyone I know loves this in hg/ss. All they had to do was make it optional, and let you select any pokemon from your party to follow (not just the first).
The sprite is just a rip from BW screenshots.
Feel free to use this if you like. I know people like making those animated trainer + follower pokemon avatars.
I've got the other two starters nearly finished too.

I agree,it's pretty disappointing adding it BACK into HG/SS and then just removing it completely. ;/

I think the reason that they did it is for the 3D sections, I mean , whenver you went into 3D sections in HGSS, the partners dissappeared...

Yeah I was thinking that too. Like in some screenshots of the city they have a back angle so it'd be hard to see yourself if you have something following behind.

I really hope to see something like this in the new games, I loved that in HGSS. I'll just keep hoping the only reason they're not showing the feature on the screens is because it's optional or something. >_<;

It's not so much that they announced they're removing it..more that they havent said it's in, and the screenshots don't show it.
So yeah, it could show up...but it's doubtful.

...I think you're taking this the wrong way. The fact that it's not in the screen shots (of which there are, like, three) doesn't prove or create doubt about anything. If anything, it proves that the option will be optional. When has Pokemon EVER introduced a new aspect, only to remove it forcefully the next game?

Pokemon do introduce new aspects and remove them later...the phone, time of day, pokemon following, fame checker, vs seeker, underground, secret bases, contests...these frequently drop in and out of the series.
The pokemon following was heavily linked in hg/ss to elm's research, the pokewalker, the pokeathlon...Most of these wont be in BW. Also with the crazy camera angles they're putting in the game, having a pokemon behind you might make it hard to see where you're going.
I'd rather assume its not in and be happily surprised to find it in, than think it will be in and only be dissapointed... I'll try to think positive though!

I think they just made pokemon follow you do to the actually having the sprites. (do to the daycare)

Knowing Pokemon, I don't think there gonna' have Pokemon follow you. If there were a version after Black and White, they probably would have Pokemon follow you, or if they ever make a remake of Ruby and Saphire.

This is awesome. I really wish they kept that feature in Black and White. It's possible that they made an option to turn it off, like others have said already, but I'm still doubtful.

It's great Kyle... I'm afraid that Nintendo is making steps backwards instead of forwards. I also don't understand why only one city is made with this ugly 3D and other maps are 2D.

Yeah I don't think they really need the graphics upgrade to 3D do they? it's not like people looked at HG/SS and complained about the graphics...
