A recent hail storm provoked this thunderous reptile to leave his domain in search of the sun's radiation...and seek out to destroy Godzilla...but that's another saga.

This snapping turtle probably weighed around 30-40 lbs. with a shell approximately 16-17 inches long. I had to definitely keep my distance from him because he could strike like a cobra with his long neck and powerful jaws. I'm over 6 feet tall and his front feet/claws could probably come close to rivaling the size of my hands. And I'd like to add that he smelled like death!
