Description Your guess is as good as mine...but I have to say, that hole on the driver's side windshield might draw the conclusion of someone's fate. This old GMC sits near a wheat field on the flats of "No Man's Land" in the Panhandle of Oklahoma.

My mind jumps from idea to idea and formulates metaphors from time to time. In this case, metaphor/irony comes to mind now that GM has now been bailed out (aka majority owned) by our government. I guess you could say that bad driving by the company left it in a position of failure. Instead of facing the consequences of poor choices, our lawmakers have decided that they are too big to fail...hmm. Seems like a power take grab or protection for personal investments. Somehow I couldn't find anywhere in the Enumerated Powers(Article I, Section 8) of the Constitution where it allows the authority for government to become a majority stakeholder, let alone bail out, what is supposed to be a private business. I also dug into some history and found numerous examples and quotes by many of the forefathers who specifically spoke of not using the American taxes to fund programs or uses not specified by the Constitution, nor has the authority been given by the people of the United States. Remember, the nation was founded on the principles of Individual Rights, checks and balances, and where the ultimate power resides in the people. Every American auto manufacture, except for Ford, made the "deal with the devil" and a good portion of U.S. citizens allowed it to take place without a word. Now, these manufacturers no longer have the freedom to do business in a free market manner. I remember when the politicians brought the CEO's before Congress and made a mockery of them and the luxuries they enjoyed. Seemed hypocritical coming from individuals who enjoy a massive amount of luxuries and benefits, such as personal jet airplanes and lavish parties all billed to the American citizen via taxes, and the fact that these people also bankrupted and failed in their duties-hence the fact that our nation just since January has by far dramatically compounded an already large nation debt several fold. And some have the audacity to say it's patriotic to pay more in taxes...maybe that's because it allows those in power to expand their control, as well as enjoy more personal luxuries.

Bad drivers in leadership positions result in wrecks that potentially can be fatal.

Thank you! I generally work the adjustments in the RAW editor. Contrast, saturation, and exposure to try and polish the image off.

I think theres more than enough compliments about another stunning lesson of photography!! Im quite amazed with the tones on this one!!

I also read your story, its sad to hear something like that.... I guess its always the same, we dont have car manufacturers in here, but the government always finds a way to fix their deals and no one ever says anything.

Anyway, I couldnt agree more with your last phrase, which describes perfectly a lotta things: Bad drivers in leadership positions result in wrecks that potentially can be fatal.

a bit unusual, but not in a bad way... Have to say that it looks almost a bit poetic...

I was working the space a little with this shot, trying a different angle of view. I've found several old cars here and there over the past 2 years and I wanted to try something different from I've done in the past.

Yes sir! The stories they could tell...

Now, if I could find a way to cut one in half and mount the front of it in my house...
