This was an interesting time to be outside in the arid heat for a couple of hours waiting for the light and sunset to get just right. I guess you could say it was almost a several hour time study, since I ended up taking a substantial amount of pictures, both individuals and panos. The flies and gnats were absolutely terrible and very persistent the entire time. On occasion, I tried to out run them for a brief bit of comfort, but they would quickly reclaim me.

I find this mountains range every bit as beautiful as some of the most photographed mountain ranges in the Rocky Mountains, such as the Grand Tetons, etc. With obvious observations, they are different in structure and are set in their own separate climates/environments. But I wonder why it seems (at least to me) this mountains range is not photographed as much as several of the others? One thing is for sure, I'd love to revisit this place at another time and another season.
