Excellent capture
Only thing, if had to nag about something, is that You could have taken the picture a little bit lower so that tree had been more visible. Now the tree blends to the rocks ...

That's a good point. Since there wasn't much rock above the "hole" under the rock arch, I had to position myself were I was in order to block the sun...but I agree, I should have tried some different points of view!

This is a good exsample of that one can never know the conditions when the other has been shooting. You can't always get better view or position for You or Your camera so that everything would be perfect. You've done good job here

You are right though. And it's funny because I can usually spot numerous mistakes after I shoot a picture, instead of identifying them before I shoot...but I'm getting a lot better at running a checklist in my mind before I take the picture.

Same here, when I look at my photos on my computer I spot plenty of mistakes. And the only thing to cure that is to shoot, shoot and shoot again. Eventually mistakes get fewer and fewer
