Description At long last, the fifth addition to the Zelda Muse Series, I present, the Requiem of Spirit.

There's probably more detail in this single piece of art than I've ever put into a drawing before in my life. Getting into the symbolism, the Spirit Temple is located in the Desert Colossus past Gerudo Valley, in a uncharacteristically tranquil location. Trying to stay about from simply drawing Nabooru (the Spirit Sage), this muse is a study in the colors of gradiant. The main color of the element is orange, but I tried to include as many colors as I could into the works, causing a rainbow effect with the order of the gems on her loin cloth and headdress. Most of the inspiration for the costume was pulled from Moulin Rouge's 'Hindi Sad Diamonds'. Reference pictures were used for her top, the menhdi on her arms and torso, her headdress and the shield.

She's holding a stylized version of the Mirror Shield, one of the many items aquired and primarily used in the Spirit Temple.

Her two-tone hair is in reference to the boss of the Spirit Temple, TwinRova. The two witches merge together to form a beautiful female demon who possesses the powers of both fire and ice, with a huge pony-tail to represent each. Around her neck on the broach is the pattern found on the Spirit Medallion. The large pink gem on her loin-cloth is a star ruby, one of my favorite gem stones.

The definition of a requiem is a mass for a deceased person. Although many have claimed that this is an inapropiate name for the song since it's rather upbeat and relaxing, it relates to game play in that when you return to the Temple seven years later, the upkeep is lacking and there is no sign of Nabooru. Evil forces have taken over and what was once supposed to be a sanctuary for both death and rebirth has been corrupted by Ganon.

Done over the course of a month with about 12 hours put into it total. Completely a Photoshop. The background is a screen capture from the front of the Temple.

Up next, the final part of this series: The Prelude of Light!

she pretty much fits the bill of a royal/sage-ish/goddessy ethereal being type person perfectly. This was my second favorite temple. it was a nice contrass to the shadow temple being so open and sun oriented. i always chuckle when i see the boss lady make link flinch by winking at him. the song is pretty good to. yeah theres a lot of little details in this pic from the colours changing into others to the tiny patterns on her sash or belt or w/e it is. nice one, eh

*glomp* Thank you! Yeah, the last one is gonna be nowhere near as hard, though still f'in badass. It was so tempting to do that one first, but I swore I'd do them in order. And also that I wouldn't drop the series and just upload something else.

Aww... I'm so proud! I can't wait for the last then. I'd like to put all up in my favorites at once, so they'll be all lined up together. Reminds me of all those hundreds and hundreds of hours spent watching you spend hundreds and hundreds of hours playing every possible everything in the game. Wohooo geekdom!
