is funny how people come up with hi-tech stuff that dumbs people down , i mean texting?? why not just talk, another stupid thing are tv and dvd systems on the driver's side so he/she can watch tv... really? do they really need to watch tv that bad? i wouldnt be surprise that in a few years someone puts a damn toilet and sink -_- sorry im in miami , florida and i think we got the worst drivers in the world here , i know people from NYC and arizona that come and say they never seen such bad drivers.

the worst i seen was this old , old , old as dirt lady driving and talkin on the cell , i saw that and i just knew she will take someone out sooner or later -_- you got green = go yellow = go faster and red = stop if you see a cop around good luck gettin your license , you are a braver person than me heh

They were recently banned at our school and I don't blame them. The number of times a cellphone would go off in class during a lecture was ridiculous. If you absolutely must have your cellphone at school, is it really that hard to turn it off during class and make your calls/text during break/lunch?

I have a cell phone because I'm 5 hours away from home... and room phones aren't very convenient when you're out and about all the time, especially when there's no answering machine.
I'm glad that they are banned at your school. Even if the class is boring or something, it's always disrespectful if it goes of. Though, of course, some people just accidentally forget to shut it off... which happens. ><

I have talked on the phone while driving. But I'm not much of a talker and the calls last seconds. Personally, I think people get into wrecks because they can't drive worth a shit. I've never believed it has to do with anything else. I've almost been killed numerous times by insane drivers, and phones had nothing to do with it. They just can't drive worth a shit. Every time someone has hit me, they weren't on phones. Some people just don't pay attention, and while a phone may exacerbate that problem, I doubt it's the only reason the wrecks occur.
So maybe some people would think I'm an idiot by default because I have talked while driving, but most people who have been in a car with me actually complain how I drive because I'm so careful and it takes us longer to get to where we're going than if they were driving.
I do think texting is pretty pointless. I don't even like talking on the phone, but I'd rather someone call me than send some nonsensical jumble of letters and numbers that I can hardly decipher. I can't fathom why people take five minutes to text something that would have taken two seconds to just say over the phone.

People who chat on the cell phone and drive generally are going to do something stupid anyway... but it would nice to take away at least one cause, you know?
I've had passengers complain about my driving as well. Going 5 over the speed limit just isn't fast enough anymore.

I agree with all...'cept the high bill..
I mean my dad pays mine..minus the texting..I pay for that...
but texting unlimited is $20 a month..and my minutes are like 1400 a month plus our like...I guess 25000 roll over now (no one uses the phone XD) and free nights and weekends..no roaming either....it's like oooh $200 a month (give or take $20) for three phones. of course by myself it'd be about 130 but I have fixed plan so yeah...
okay..but other then MY bill...I agree I slap my friend everytime she does a text while driving on the freaking highway.... and talking on the phone...NO I mean okay..if your mom call or such I might be able to see it..but get to the point and hang up or say i'll call you later....bah...people annoy me...
