Hurray for experimental drawing! This time around I tried to go for a clean look in Flash using minimal strokes. I got a little sloppy near the end though. The color choice and the interesting lines the brush gave me really reminded me of one of those cartoon comic books, So I added speech bubbles with text I originally planned to put here XDNo, I'm not relapsing into my Munk-addiction, this is more of a tribute to a couple of guys that helped ease me out of it. Even if you're unaware of that XD Cody is an original chipmunk character of 's created for the purpose of appearing in one of 's chipmunk fanfics. The stories he has posted here really provided a bridge for me to reconnect back to the present. Being lost in a void of nostalgia is only fun for a while XP I was really critical when I commented and I honestly think I said way more than was necissary, but those comments allowed me to vent a little about the characters and how I envisioned them. It really was a bigger help than I expected and I thank you for both the story and the opportunity.
Narfeth is also a pretty decent writer. His story was alot of fun to read and even more fun to discuss with him. I'm certain I enjoyed reading about Cody as much as AJ had writing him, so I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone and just doodle this off for the both of you X3
Theodore was originally not in the image. I then looked at that and thought..."Needs moar teddy" and so I added moar. X3 Even if he's just there to catch Cody's specs, the image is just not complete with out him. X3

Cody's presense in the Chipmunks is unexplained. I'd ask Narfeth,BUT he and I had a falling out long ago -and I am hated by the main contributers to the "Seville Library" website. In fact I was suddenly banhammered by them one Sunday -for being a "jerk". Narfeth and others don't want me making comments to them on DevArt either. They are not the only ones who had blocked me from commenting to them ... Highdarktemplar is another.

This is absolutely priceless! And unlike the last person who drew fanart of him, you got his personality spot on.
I'm glad you added Theodore too, because the picture wouldn't have been complete without him.
In terms of being too critical, it wasn't at all. You are the only person that actually gave me real feedback with my story. The rest told me what they liked about it. You told me what you liked and what needed improvement, which makes it complete feedback. And I enjoyed having a conversation about it.
If you are in the mood for an even bigger challenge to the scope of my fanfics, since the sequel is going to be way different, you're welcome to read it, but I'm not expecting you to.

It's not difficult to get a spot on personality with just 3 words XD Though, like you, I do take a certain amount of pride in knowing how characters would react to a situation. I'm not exactly good with that in real life, but fictional characters are easy X3
I suppose the only real guilt I have about being so critical is that I can't write stories, myself. I get bored way too easily X3 I'll be glad to feed back anything you'd like to input if I find I have the time. Which really isn't a problem anymore since the semester is finally winding down.
And this was no problem at all. It was quick and very much for my benefit as yours. As I said it was an experiment. XP

The person that drew Cody before you did didn't even bother to read his personality. So she made Cody steal Simon's spotlight and be happy about it, because Alvin and Theodore got sick of him. So she made Theodore and Cody's evil doppleganger. Made me so mad, and didn't bother to ask permission to use my character either. You made the picture as a gift or tribute, so there was no need to ask, you got his personality right and gave proper credit. Any reasonable person does that. She made the credit to me say "cody once belongs to narfeth" which to me sounds like "I'm stealing your character bitch!"
I naturally get bored fast with stories too. I have an original story that has been sitting at chapter nine for about two years now. I shocked myself completing my story. And it seems to have added fuel to the fire.
If you ever decide to write a story, and it's a fandom I have a general background with, I could give you a review similar to what you did for me, if it helps.

I haven't attempted a fanfic in many years. The only one left I know of that still exists in any form is a silly attempt at a Zelda fanfic on Fanfiction.net that never got farther than the prologue. It's been a little over 3 years since I've submitted anything over there and way over 7 since I've actually read anything from there XD I am currently working [not working] on an original story, myself, but I don't really know if it's going anywhere.
I remember taking a creative writing class in high school, though. It was a fun exercise to take a prompt and write a short story about it. I think I should try my hand at that again if I ever get the notion to write again. A full novel is probably too big for me to tackle right now.
Well I'm thinking aloud now, and a small glimpse into my mind can be dangerous XP So I think I'll wrap this up. I'll be glad for any feed back you have if you ever feel like giving it X3. Who knows? maybe I'll end up writing a munk fic, though I'm sure most of my regular patrons are sick of all the chipmunk stuff I've been doing the passed couple weeks. X3

HAHAAHA!! I can so see Alvin doing that to Cody, hahahaha. Oh I can't stop laughing, this is really good Kyrio. And dont worry, you didn't say to much in your comments. It actually helped me a lot, now I know what I can improve on for my future installments.

Hehe I'm glad you enjoyed it. If I wasn't so horrible at focusing I'd probably be able to make my own halfway decent fanfic. I turned from writing long ago to pursue drawing instead, though. I still try to dabble in it now and then, but I just can't stare at a word processor for hours anymore.
I doubt Theo will ever be absent from any of my Chipmunk drawings XD (I wonder if I should just stick him randomly in everything else I draw, too XP)
