"Now that we're done with that," Kai said proudly, shifting into her lupine form, "I've changed my mind. We're going to have a race instead! You know how much I love racing through Yoshpet, right?" She almost pranced as she looked down at Oki. He'd thought they’d come out on a slightly different purpose and hadn't blinked when she'd brought out the rope. Her bindings were simple but effective, tying all four of his paws together and locking them tightly to his waist, just to make certain. "I can tell how much you're enjoying this," the female Oina commented offhandedly. "Since you don't seem to want to get up, I'll be nice to you and give you a minute's head start. That should be enough to make it almost fair." She smiled and crouched, ready to run.

Oki groaned through the tight cleave gag, shaking his head in an attempt to pull the rope muzzle off. He should have known Kai would try to embarrass him like this. It was almost certainly punishment for that job he'd taken, or the reversal Amaterasu had pulled on him. Didn't she understand there was nothing of the sort between them? Females just had to be jealous around him, it seemed. Pulling and straining his back to slip off or break the ropes binding his paws, he growled and thought of what he was going to do to the female once he got free. Rope was probably going to be involved again, he thought, and probably some other things. But first he had to escape, and with Kai seemingly about to leave him in an abandoned forest, that was difficult!
