As an evil approached the earth, the great spirit of the earth, Tikkaal, called to the bestial guardians to choose a select group of people to help combat this evil.

Elsewhere, an organization called VIPER continues to help those who need to fight forces they themselves couldn't take on their own. VIPER has the very cutting edge of technology and the very best of combat training.

The most elite squad of VIPER is called the Sidewinder squad. Lead by a gung-ho yet caring man named Sam Rioder.

As the Tikkallian guardians search for their partners, VIPER had recently invented something called Nanoarmor. This device would cover its user in a spandex-like material that would improve both strength and endurance. Five Nanoarmor units are given to the Sidewinder unit help them in their fight against corporate tyrants. The violet crab spirit was curious about this invention but was sucked into one of the Nanoarmor units accidently. This caused Matina Echre to morph into Nitro Beat Purple.

Now, VIPER and Tikkaal's guardians fight the evil forces of Fortomax.
