Hey everpony! This deviation was something that I've been working for sometime now. The idea here is that the planet Equus split into two realms a long time ago. One realm (Equishine) is powered by magical crystals and is more like our world and the other is the magically-inclined land (Shamsheena) of Twilight Sparkle and friends.

This fanfic would revolve around a rune-marked stallion named Chronicler and his life in the tropical nation of Neighly. The nation wants to join the kingdom of Equestria while the ponies want to stay alone. Old evils are arising in this realm of Equishine and they seem keen on getting Chronicler and his friend Wildcat.
