Description
Howdy again guys. Here's my progress on the Hawk - A concept motorbike I designed in May this year. It is modeled and rendered in Cinema4D, with post production in photoshop.About the "Hawk"
It's small, it's lightweight, and it's coming to a showroom near you.
Powered by a Honda RC51 V-twin 999cc engine, with a redline of 10,000rpm, 120RWhp and a theoretical top speed of 233 kilometers per hour. Wearing three 19inch lightweight alloy wheels equiped with twin rear and front disc brakes, you wont have any problems stopping in a hurry.
Fiberglass outer shell and alloy chassis give you the aerodynamics needed to acheive the level of performance you expect from a roadbike, with the comfort of a car. The interior is a combination of moulded plastic and leather trim, with digital dials giving you the vital information about your vehicle.
So pick up your phone today, and call 555-it's not a real number.
Callers within the next five minutes will receive a complimentary set of steak knives. So what are you waiting for?
Still to do:
- Rear swingarm total redesign.
- Interior detailing (It looks far too simple in this render)
- decals
- Make the front wheels thinner as per suggestion
So I'm pretty close to finishing. It's just that dam swingarm that's bugging me.

Lookin' sexier everytime I see it, Lexxie.
Great work.
I really like the wireframe background, too - so much more interesting than plain black. Also, nice blur on the one in the background, however, the image seems to get extraordinarily bright, there.
Well done, as usual. Keep up the good work.
(Go my mood. xD)

Yea, I quite like the wireframe too, so this style will probably end up in alot of my final renders. I've also added tonnes of tech brushes into the wires which are pretty hard to see, but add to it.
Cheers mate

This is absolutely the most original thing I have ever seen. I think there would be a big market for something like this. Depending on the color scheme, this could be a vehicle for both genders, which like doubles your market base.
An offroad version with knobby tires and raised suspension would be cool too.
There is no way on earth I am not ing this.

Wow, huge compliment. Thanks heaps! And when I'm (Finally) happy with the design and have it finished, I'll render several colour schemes and wheel combinations.
Thanks heaps mate!

cool, the wheels look like my style of chrome, so how did you make it? was it just a black color with some reflections?

L-X In reply to ragingpixels [2006-08-23 21:29:57 +0000 UTC]
It's a shade of dark grey with about 70% reflection. So pretty much the same as how you do it. The reflections come from a huge black cylinder that I've cut up sitting behind the camera.

Haha, because of intellectual propery and copyright issues I cant send you the .c4d but I can send the wheel if you want?

Great work mate, the level of detail just keeps getting better and better, the addition of the suspention makes it look just that bit more real. Looking forward to seeing the finished Interior I hope you put as much work into the detail of that as the rest of the car. The new front end looks great except you can see all the way to the other side of the car through the vent holes, are you going to add any detail in there?

wow good work m8, you need to work on the interia a bit more though, perhaps make the site have a fabric texture.
other than that good job looks wicked

It's really hard to keep working on it when a render comes out as pretty as this. I'm tempted to just leave it, but I'll keep going.

Looks good, nice angle and layout of the rest of the images. Is the second Hawk in the background the same just reversed and blurred? Spose it's a good way to cut down render time if you were actually going to render a second one.

Yea, I thought about that half way through the 5.5 hour render. Hah. It's a slightly different angle, but in the future I'll definately just do it your way
