2019 - Watercolor

So I decided to illustrate some plants and bugs I encountered in Japan while I live here This plant is not native of Japan, but grows now in the wild since it has been introduced. I saw this one on a trailing path in Kamakura.

This is the first painting of a tryptic !

The flower looks similar to a bleeding heart flower that I remember growing up with in Vermont.
