2019 - Watercolor
I decided to illustrate some plants and bugs I encountered in Japan while I live here This plant is not native of Japan, but grows now in the wild since it has been introduced. I saw this one on a trailing path in Kamakura.
This is the last painting of a tryptic !

Yes it has similar features, this is an example of convergent evolution, they are actually from completely different families
Bleeding heart are from the poppy family, while the abutilion is from mallow family so it's closer to baobab or hisbiscus
