보지아 고사본 64 쪽에서 영감을 얻어 그렸습니다.

보지아 고사본은 현재까지 남아있는 몇 안되는 중앙아메리카 문명의 책 중 하나 입니다.
아무도 이 책의 목적과 이 책에 그려진 그림들의 의미를 모릅니다.
The Codex Borgia is one of few pre-columbian Mesoamerican books survived until today.
No one know about purpose of the codex and meaning of drawings.
어쨌던 위 그림은 어떤 분의 OC 입니다.
그녀는 훼훼코요틀의 의상을 입고 있습니다.
Anyway, This is Drawing of someone's OC.
She wear the costume of The Huehuecoyotl.
사실 훼훼코요틀은 음악, 춤, 장난에 관한 남성 신입니다.
그리고 그녀(OC) 는 음악(특히 전자 음악)과 톰보이 들을 좋아하지요.
그래서 그녀가 음악에 관한 남성 신의 의상을 입고 있는 모습으로 그렸습니다.
Actually, The Huehuecoyotl is male aztec deity about music, dance, mischief.
And She(The OC) love music (especially, electric beat) and tomboy.
So, I drew her in costume of male music deity.
저는 중앙아메리카의 전통의상에 대하여 아무것도 모릅니다 (아마 그림에 나온 의상은 춤 의상 일 것입니다).
그래서, 중아아메리카 전통의상을 이해하기 위한 제 노력에도 불구하고,
그림에 나온 의상은 아주 정확하지 않을 수 있습니다.
I know nothing about Mesoamerican traditional clothing (Maybe that is dance clothing).
So, despite of my effort about understanding Mayan clothing,
The costume in drawing may not very accurate.
그리고 그녀는 인신공양을 받지 않습니다.
And, she dose not receive human sacrificing.

참고로 사전에 'wewekojotl' 이라고 발음하라고 적혀있는데,
아마도 훼훼코요틀이 아니라 우에우에코요틀이 더 정확한 발음 일 것 같습니다.
For dictionary's information, 'Huehuecoyotl' pronounce 'wewekojotl'.
Maybe 'woo-e-woo-e-ko-jo-tl' is more accurate pronouncing.
자극적이고 신비한 것을 찾고 있었는데,
어느날 집에서 굴러 다니다 보니, '시공 디스커버리총서: 마야-잃어버린 도시들' 라는 책이 눈에 띄더군요.
그 책은 '마야 유적을 발굴하기 위하여 학자들이 이런 고생을 했다.' 라는 것이 주된 내용인지라,
중앙아메리카 문화에 대한 자세한 정보를 찾을 수가 없었습니다.
따라서 결국 포폴 부를 시작으로, 중앙아메리카 신화집과 고사본(복원판)을 보기 시작했고, 여기까지 왔네요.
I was searching for something stimulating and mysterious.
One day, I rolled around my house, I suddenly found book called 'Cites Perdues des Mayas(Discovery)'.
The book is about 'How scientist and explorer hard worked'.
So I cannot fined detail information about Myth and Culture of Mesoamerica.
Resultingly I started to read Popol Vuh and Restored-Mixtec Codexes, and I reach here.
그리고 이 글에 덧글을 쓴 사람 중 대부분은 멕시코 사람들 입니다(스페인어를 보세요!).
지구 반대편에 사는 양반이 자기네 나라 문화에 관한 것을 그렸으니, 호기심 때문에 들어오는 것 같습니다.
생각보다 호응이 좋아서 놀랐습니다. 그리고 멕시코 사람들은 자신들의 문화에 정말 큰 자부심을 가지고 있다는 것을 알 수 있습니다.
And most of commenter are Mexican people(Look Spanish!).
Mexican people have curiosity to one who live opposite site of earth interested in Mixtec Culture.
I was surprised at unexpected response. And I can feel Proud of Mexican People.
인신공양(人身供犧)은 제사를 지낼때 사람을 바치는 것 입니다.
예컨데 심청이가 인당수에 몸을 던지는 장면도 일종의 인신공양이지요.
Human sacrificing (人身供犧) is dedicate human to deity.
Shim-Chung throwing herself to In-Dang-Su is good example of Human sacrificing.
아시다시피 인신공양은 잉카-아즈텍-마야에서 모두 나타납니다.
그리고 아즈텍에서는 사람의 심장을 빼서 바치는 종교의식으로 유명합니다.
그래서 위 세 문명은 서구 사람들에 의하여 상당히 나쁜 문명으로 묘사됩니다.
하지만 인신공양은 아즈텍 인들에게 신에 대한 사랑과 감사의 의미이자, 신화의 재현이자, 세계를 돌아가게 하는 원동력 입니다.

As you know, Human sacrificing appear in Inca-Aztec-Maya.
And Aztec is famous for dedicate heart of human.
So western people describe Inca-Aztec-Maya as brutal and savage civilization.
But to Aztec people Human sacrificing is expression of thanks and love to god, reenacting of mythology, and giving of energy to Sun God.

역시 책이 동기부여가 되었군요!
가끔 가다 느끼지만, 정말이지 책의 파워는 엄청납니다.
벨기에의 만화 작가 (제가 몹시 존경하고 사랑하는 분이죠.) 에르제의 '땡땡의 모험' 시리즈만 보아도
탄탄한 시나리오와 설정에서 작가가 책을 열심히 읽은 흔적이 드러나 있습니다.
"이 글에 덧글을 쓴 사람 중 대부분은 멕시코 사람들 입니다."
멕시코 사람이 스페인어를 쓴다는 사실을 어디선가 들은 것 같긴 한데, 기억이 잘 안 납니다.
여하튼 님 덕분에 여러 모로 지식을 배워 가는 군요.
쨌든 본인도 지나친 문화 사대주의를 좀 버리고, 한국 문화에도 자부심을 가지려고 노력해야 겠습니다.
그리고 당연히, 요즘은 지구촌 시대이니까 (특히 인터넷이 도움을 정말 많이 주죠.) 지구 반대편 사람들이 서로 서로

아, 최근에 도덕 선생님께서 잠시 어떤 한 아즈텍 문명을 다룬 영화의 일부분을 보여 주신 바 있는데,
사람의 심장을 바치는 장면(혹은 님이 말씀하신 인신공양?) 이 무척 잔인하게 묘사되어 있더군요.
님은 아즈텍 문화에 관해서도 이제 전문가가 다 되셨나 봅니다.(본인의 개인적인 느낌에 불과)
그리고 제 깃털 빼먹은 건.. 괜찮아요!
어차피 빼는 게 자연스럽습니다.
(그런데 그러고 보니 제 OC 포니가 언제부터 북아메리카 원주민 닮은 꼴이 되었는지는 알 수 없는 노릇입니다.)

요즘은 이처럼 애정과 염려가 넘치는 작가들을 찾기 어려 워졌습니다.
아! 그 '아포칼립토' 말 입니까?
그 영화에서 '구쿨칸' 이라는 단어가 나오는 것 보니까,
마야문명을 배경으로 한 것 같습니다만,
영화 제작에는 아즈텍을 많이 참고했나 봅니다.
그 영화의 평을 보니 '너무 서구 중심적이다.' 라고 비판을 받고 있는데,
아즈텍 관련 요소를 나름 깨알같이 재연했더군요.
그보다도 희생 제의를 치른다음에, 심지어 희생물의 피부를 벗겨내기도 합니다!

i fact, what "make deity" at ancient nahuatl cultures was the clothes and signs, so, don't worry about the user byself, can be anybody (man, woman, old, young). The clothing on this it's ceremonial clothing, that used to be a dancing clothes too (nahuatl danced a lot).
Huehuecoyotl means "The Old Coyote", a cousin of the american wolf. They were take it by nahuas as "playful and joyful" creatures, and, as i said, anybody can dress like a god... just keep away from the smoking mirror priests, they sacrifice gods

Náhuatl es la lengua, nahuas (o nahuatlacas) es la tribu.

de hecho a todos los pueblos de la zona se les llama Nahuas (o nahuatl), porque compartían muchos elementos culturales, pese a que tenían dialectos propios pero en general tenían una base linguïstica madre. Incluso, llegaban tribus de otras zonas, como los chichimecas o los mismos aztecas, y acababan adoptando la cultura local. Eso si, se daban de golpes cada tercer día, los tecpanecas y los culhuas, por ejemplo, que no fue hasta que los aztecas llegaron y se fortalecieron lo suficiente, habrían continuado guerreando hasta hoy.
sólo cuando se salía del valle de Anáhuac había diferencias sustanciales en la cultura. Totonacas, mixtecos, zapotecos, los huastecos...
Sólo había en el norte algunas tribus que compartían elementos linguïsticos y religiosos con los nahuas del valle, los Xi'oi, que eran de los pocos seminómadas con templos y juego de pelota (y tenían a Tláloc como dios patrón, en su versión de relámpago, pues la lluvia era su esposa, Chalchiutlicue). Todos los demás, cazcanes, guamares, zacatecos, eran guerreros nómadas temibles, con lenguajes propios.
