Description

The Elasmos evolved on the planet Xixitt, but have since claimed the planet Goltop as their capital planet following the destruction of their homeworld. Five centuries ago the Elasmos was a highly advanced society, second only to Chialiong, They evolve from organisms that shared traits from both arthropods and mammals. Though their complexation is rather pale their true color is on a spectrum that most other sapients can’t see. Their society is female dominated, though males are also able to achieved position of power. The Elasmos also have a smaller third gender that’s non-sapient and sexless, these “drones” hatch from unfertilized eggs and act as the female’s servants, they are short lived lasting only about six months when they’re replaced.

Before the destruction of Xixitt they happily explore space and sought out new planets and species. They were also the only spacefaring race that was well aware of the secretive Chialiong, and regularly met with for diplomatic purposes. That was before Reglib showed up. At first the Elasmos didn’t think much of the diminutive Reglib as their spaceships were far inferior to theirs. They were proven wrong when the Reglib used meteors to bombard Xixitt. The surviving Elasmos fled to Goltop, their largest colony world, and also sent envoys to the Chialiong to warn them of this new enemy.

After the Reglib War, most Elasmos chose to stay on Goltop and remake it in Xixitt’s image, using advanced cloning technology to remake Xixitt’s Biota. Other Elasmos chose to return to the remnants of Xixitt and convert it into an enormous space station. Though they share a relatively good relationship with already known species they are very xenophobic when it comes to new species and will take decades vetting before establishing diplomatic relations. And they absolutely have rejected any cooperation with the Proglib.
