I think it would somehow be more tragic if he died and didn't come back. When people see angel characters, or holy characters, or something similar to these types of themed pictures, they just assume that God or whomever is going to bring the person or creature back to life because good never dies, etc.
So I think it would be a refreshing turn of events if he died and wasn't resurrected. Oh, and awesome picture.

I think he'll make a miraculous comeback - I hate when characters die. I can't remember anyone who's done it particularly well. If you do end up killing him off, please, please don't try to justify it. It just ruins the whole thing. >>;
But anyways, two thumbs up! ^^

Looks awesome! Although his head looks a bit small compared to the arms and hands, but hmm, the background isn't too distracting I think, but I didn't see how it was before you changed either. ^^

As always, love your clothing folds. You did a really nice job on his hand this time too. It looks very relaxed and natural. Not a contrived pose. (I'm not saying your hands USUALLY look like contrived poses ... )
At first glance, his head looked a little small, but I see the glare (Ah! The glare! <- inside joke) is just reflecting so much off his hair, it looks like part of the shineyness, so don't pay any attention to this paragraph. :3
I understand about Killing Characters Off. I have never been able to stomach it, and I tend to hate stories where my favorite characters die. Often, it seems like the death of characters is a contrived plot device to manipulate our emotions. Rare is the author who can do it well. (Tolkien can. Murder mysteries don't count. We all know they're just body fodder.)
I've killed characters twice. Neither were primaries, but the first I felt like a murderer for days. The second ... I feel okay about. She's in my book (which you ALSO haven't read. 
... I have also now said more than *you* did in your description, which means I am way over wordcount. I will now be quiet. Maybe I'll go finish cleaning my room, so I can ink in the boxes of the next comic page (READ IT, LADRE!!! *fist of doom*), or sketch out that bubble painting. :3

nah not necessarily... sure it adds a feeling of tension to know that someone could die, but there are other ways to create tension too. I feel that how a person feels after they're done reading a story is more important than making sure they felt tension. I hate reading a story where everyone dies in the end, cause I feel cheated.

I didn't said there weren't other means... And I didn't mean all stories either. And I feel awful when everyone dies in the end. But I meant it's part of stories, because it's part of life as well.
I just thought that it must be painful sometimes, killing your own characters. But it's just like life, we don't always choose the ones to go even though that you have this power when writing.
And I agree with you. The most important thing is the feeling and the message a story contains.

too long ugh~ I spent forever shading the clothing folds, and never quite got the hair looking how I like. I've been working on it on and off for a couple of weeks I guess, but only a little bit at a time.
