Wow. I haven't seen your Andalten Skies artwork take this dark tone. I never imagined you killing off one of your high calibre characters. I'll have to start assuming less.
I'm not shore if you have over worked the special effects. Silver looks slightly blurred to me. The line work isnβt as sharp as your other work. But he is under water so I guess its OK.
you used the words "such is life." where'd you get them from?

I went through a phase where I thought every good story had to have it's darker stages. But over the years I've grown to dislike dark stories more and more, and favor more lighthearted stuff. Besides, even if you wanna add a bit of darkness, it doesn't have to mean killing someone off. It was only a vaguely established part of the story anyway, so I'll probably end up letting him live
And I did slightly blur the lineart, but I only did it on a duplicate of the Lineart layer. there's 2 copies of it, one blurred and one normal. I was trying to find some way to at least make it kinda look like you were looking through water without messing up my coloring job.
I don't know where I got those words, I use them all the time haha~ might have got them from somewhere but I forget. Why do you ask?

I ask because those are the final words of Ned Kelly. [link]

hm~ guess it could have come from that. I figured it just came from the French phrase "c'est la vie". You've probably heard that before too (sounds like "say lah vee" ) there's a Spanish version too that I remember from class "asi es la vida". If it was started by Kelly, he must have been popular in Europe

Wow! Very cool and atmospheric . I wish I could make images that were even half as meaningful and emotion-packed as yours! I quite like the shiny actually lol.
