In honor of Valentines Day, I thought I'd upload some red roses. They're nothing special, just something I made to put on sale at the shop I work with. The left one is made from silver-lined beads, the right one is translucent beads. Each one has a red glass heart in the center. For some reason, I just could not get a good picture of them! The left one really sparkles.

I work through etsy, but I don't have anything in my shop right now. I'm focusing on commissions and coming up with some really special new items to display on my future website. I've also been creating Christmas presents and such. It's been a busy season.

So beautiful! Love the left one, it looks more realistic(well as realistic as flowers made from glass beads can!)

IMO, the darker one looks better. For some reason, the brighter the red in a rose, the gaudier it looks to me... but again, that's just my humble opinion

It's been really interesting to see who likes which of these roses. I personally prefer the regular translucent beads because I think they're more realistic, while my boyfriend likes the silver-lined beads because he feels that they have a more rich color and more depth. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer. It's just a matter of personal preference. It's definitely interesting.
