Description
You ever had one of those days where everything went wrong? Lady Quantum is having one of those days.After traveling to an alternate dimension, where Angel Falls had been destroyed in an apocalyptic war, and opposing factions of warring tribes were trying to seek out the Heaven's Sword to crush their opponents and bring about their own version of law and order, she traveled to another alternate dimension where magic seemed prevalent. Here, Angel Falls is populated by several species of humanoids, including ones that are higher up the food chain than humans. The area is surrounded by a dense primeval forest, and the populace warned her not to go into the woods by herself. Unfortunately, not heeding their advice, LQ found herself confronted by what could only be described as a Troll, by it's size, strength, appearance, and uncanny knack for regenerating from her super strong punches. Left with no real choice, Quantum opened up with a blast of quantum energy into the chest of the beast which brought it down, but the agonized cries it made, might bring others. Being weak to magic on this world LQ would rather not stick around for long, but it is taking longer for her "batteries" to recharge.
Let's hope nothing magical gets her in the meantime.

That's a kick A effect with the violet quantum blast and how you shaped with out just perfectly. Awesome background pic and your Troll looks pretty cool looking for,well, a Troll
LQ's blast has a serious "kick" causing her to get on her toes for support with those powerful, sexy legs. Nice job with her outfit and beautiful muscled body.
Her face is beautiful as is her hair coloring and styling detail.
Awesome job on this fantasy pic and as for her "batteries"? She should try Duracell. I hear they keep going and going and going......................

Thanks! The blast effect is actually rendered inside DAZ, so it's actually part of the render. Had a bit of problems with it at first wanting to pick up the colors right, but once I fixed it I didn't have any more problems. The background was one I found on a google search and modified, and the Troll is a genesis figure. Her "batteries" are internal and I doubt that she could just swap them out for new ones.

*Stuffy British Voice* The Quantum, in it's natural habitat, is considered to be an alpha predator, and is not something to be snuck up upon. Should you cross a Quantum in it's native habitat, LEAVE IT ALONE! It has natural defenses that make it a most formidable creature, and it can be quite deadly if startled.

As far as she knows, it's just magic in general. That's how it was that she was injured by the bite of the "Little Red Riding Wolves" during mine and 's Halloween comic event this year.

Yeah. That's a big problem with the language barrier. A big troll looking thing comes up swinging a club around saying, "Unga bunga, mooga booga!" LQ isn't going to know that it's asking for directions, and think it's threatening her. 
Yeah, power effects are one of those things that can be done in 3D or in postwork. The postwork ones you have to have the right brushes though, so most all of mine are done in the actual 3D program because it's easier to line everything up. One of these days once I build up my collection of Photoshop brushes I'll start doing both when it comes to power effects and it will probably look a lot better.

Actually, I was thinking about doing the Kamehameha for it, but thought people would think it was silly, so didn't. One of the reasons the picture came about is because Victoria wanted "Nae Nae" (which is the sign in avatar on the Xbox 360) to look like and have powers like Lady Quantum here. Well, the best we could do was a Ms. Marvel outfit (the Warbird version) and a set of Zeus powers that fly her around throwing blue-white bolts of power until she lands, then opens up with this enormous blast that looks like it could take out a moon or asteroid.

Thanks for the compliment. They are a type of figure that have material presets to be used in DAZ and Poser. Unfortunately, the material settings weren't working for some reason and in the render the whole thing kept coming out totally black. I had to change up the whole thing and redo the material by hand into the blue-white blast you see here. I was thinking about also adding a smoke effect to the troll, but it would have blotted out some of the blue from the beam. There are brushes I could get for Photoshop to do it, but I don't have the money for that right now.
