Description
Ever since I saw Star Trek:Insurrection I got inspired to do this motivational poster of Data in a haystack. I wish we can all have an encounter like this don't you?Related content

I laughed so hard the first time I heard it, and I was singing it under my breath for he next week without even knowing it unless Mom told me to be quiet.

You make a valid point It would have been nice if the writers would have made Data sing more often especially during musical performances.

Data, you will not find one so get out of there. You are a robot, not a chicken.

I am an android not a robot. If there is no needle in a haystack then why do humans use that saying?

I was shocked too when I found out about the video through a Star Trek forum Although I still think there's more to Data than his fully functionality.

So much more. Data, is what I like to call a real man. No ego, per say, and his heart is real. He is the kind of guy a girl can spend her whole life loving. That is my opinion of him.

I agree. Plus he has the heart of a child despite that he has brains and strength

Exactly! He's just so sincere! That's what makes me love him.

He's so honest that he can never intentionally hurt anyone. OMQ have you seen the episode, "In Theory"? I totally hated Jenna D'Sora because she didn't appreciate the things Data was doing for her. He tried to make her happy and all she would do is complain. SHe said that she accepts him for who he is and yet criticizes him for every attempt he makes at trying to make her happy rather it's being affectionate or giving her flowers.

vegetababy In reply to LadyData [2013-02-05 23:18:55 +0000 UTC]
Jenna was on the rebound. She didn't want a relationship, she wanted her pride. If she had really loved Data, then she would have realized that Data showed affection in his own ways. What she wanted was instant gratification, not love. That foolish woman.

LadyData In reply to vegetababy [2013-02-11 18:58:07 +0000 UTC]
I agree and plus her statement about Data contradicts itself. " Because as close as we are, I don't really matter to you. Not really. Nothing I could do or say will ever make you happy, or hurt you, or touch you in any way." Sure Data isn't going to respond emotional to what she says to him but he does try to make her happy by acknowledging her and trying to be attentive to her.

vegetababy In reply to LadyData [2013-02-12 03:26:44 +0000 UTC]
If she had stuck around long enough and actually tried to get to know him, and tried to make their relationship work, she would have seen that Data was indeed a caring and very affectionate person. All the rest, if she had had the patience could have been taught. But like I said, she wasn't into an actual relationship, she was into instant gratification. That's probably why her last relationship failed. I'm sorry but I just hate that woman!

Picard: Data. What in God's name are you doing?
Data: Sir, you said yourself this was like "finding a needle in a haystack". I was simply attempting to locate this long lost "needle".
Picard: *Facepalms* Data, that was simply a metaphor... Something humans say to describe something especially difficult to accomplish.
Data: Oh. I am having excessive trouble understanding all the customs of humans, sir. I hope you will forgive me.
