Description
I didn't really know what to draw today, so I just decided to make another small animation for practicing purposes. ^^That thing where you rock back and forth on your toes is something I actually do pretty often myself. The motion is nicely simple, so it seemed suitable for a 10-frame animation.
Drawn in Pencil2D.

Nice! ^__^ I love the silhouettes of your practice animations~
This piece you made got me thinking about a YT series I'm currently watching that talks about animation (like animation's 12 principles, & especially how animation is different for video games than movies and why). The YT channel that I found this on is called Extra Credits. Would you be interested in a link to any of them, or are you pretty happy with your own animation resources already?
Keep up the great work, my friend!!!

Ah, thanks! I already know about the 12 principles of animation (I've been watching the YT series by Alan Becker), but I didn't know that Extra Credits had made videos about them as well! I think I would like to see those.
My theory knowledge about animation is pretty decent by now, what I need the most is probably practice XD

Ohhh... A YT series *just* about the 12 principles of animation~ Thank you for mentioning this, & the name of its creator!!
I will so *totally* be looking it up!
Thank you also for your kind reply. I had wanted to ask you, before adding a link, because I'd hoped to learn your preference first! I believe exactly, "need the most... practice," because that is true for *me,* in *all* things!!!!! ...Not only that, but also: I'd hoped that a link to Extra Credits stuff would be, "if you're curious", not me giving advice... at all... I already like your artwork, & appreciate how generously you share even the practice animation you make! So thank you, again!!
Someone recommended the Extra Credits episodes to me (on animation). & at first, for me, watching them... really felt like a chore. =.= But! Suddenly, yesterday- to my great surprise- something *connected* with me. I started getting a lot out of them. I even began to love & appreciate *all* of them-- even the ones I'd first disliked.
...That positive experience I had, is the main reason why I offered to share. In case, you might also have a really good experience? ^_^;; What I do know already about you, is: you have *way* more knowledge about programming, game mechanics, animation, etc, than I do...! So, I wondered: if *I* liked their show, maybe you'd like it even more?
Thanks again for your kindness & patience with me! This is the link to the playlist, which is still a work in progress for him: www.youtube.com/playlist?list=…

It's true, practice really makes perfect! Learning by doing always worked well for me, but I still appreciate any help on the way!
So thanks for the link, I'll make sure to start watching it soon. It looks like a lot of fun!
