Description
Severus doing some secretive little night-time reading in the Slytherin commons, the giant squid is attracted to the light of his wand and decides to take a peek.For the window I used =Cat-in-the-Stock 's wonderful window stock which can be found here
, and I should also note that this was sort of inspired by ~LautnerLuver 's orange octopus , though this is obviously supposed to be a squid.

snape: why are you scared? it's just a squid!
me: *sigh!* I-I was attacked by a squid when I was 6, *shows snape sucker scars on legs* soI've had this fear ever since!

Well, I doubt this would work because he'd end up being blinded by his own spell, but I decided that because it's magic light it's got magic, non-blinding qualities also.

The Slytherin common room has never really attracted me, but if it has a window to see the giant squid, then its that much more awesome.

Isn't it? Although I do wonder about the windows to the dorms- I wouldn't get to sleep if I always expected the squid to look in on me while I was sleeping!

To the squid, sure, but I'm not so certain I'd like to get used to random merpeople, students going diving to look at the sea creatures in the lake, students trying to catch a peek of their Head of House in his birthday suit, etc.
