This is so sad and so perfect. The emotion in Thorin's eyes is just perfect and heartbreaking, and everything is gorgeously drawn, as always. I love his always fabulous hair, especially. The contrast between the background and the line art makes for nice emotional impact, as well.

My headcanon is that Thorin will find him just as he is slipping away, Frerin only has enough time to look upon him as Thorin takes him in his arms, and a faint smile, meant to be reassuring, but it is more a grimace of pain, crosses his lips before he closes his eyes forever
