NICE! You need to do some pics of Trenton taking out some random baddies, like mercenaries or something. Can he use his powers as a ranged weapon?

How do you mean?? He can project blasts of energy and use it as a kind of shield, if that's what you're referring to. ;]

Magic has certain parameters in Maelstrom's world, so those with Trenton's type of powers wouldn't be able to make laser blasts per se, and this form of magic is more 'wild' compared to the rest so it tends to be messy. Also you have to factor in that Trenton wasn't trained to use his Magus as a child so he doesn't have very strict control of it when in use!
Once Chapter Eight goes up (it's a long way off, I know!), I'll post some more about Maelstrom's magic system since part of the chapter talks about it. ;D

I wrote out the magic system early on, it's just portraying it that doesn't come too easy for some of the abilities!
