Redraw of a very, VERY old picture of Ranulf and Lucia from when I first switched the setting of the story from High Fantasy to the 19th/20th century (2012, if I’m remembering correctly).Ranulf gets into the Sky Navy later on following Lucia talking with a family friend who consents to meet with Ranulf and evaluate if he’s “Sky Navy Material.”
Ranulf’s uniform is modeled after various military dress uniforms from the 1910s; I wanted to give him boots a few years ago, but now I realize it made the uniform look a century out of date, so slacks it is! Also side note: epaulettes are really fun to draw and I won’t pass up an opportunity to throw them on a uniform.

Ooo! Yay! Love a good ol'fashioned re-draw! This is very romantic as always you're so great at using light to create a mood. I am definitely intrigued by the idea of a Sky Navy- that sounds incredible! I love, love, loveee Lucia's gown, it's gorgeous- the green really suits her. I love the playful expressions on their faces and the way they're slowly edging towards each other for a kiss.

Thank you so much! This is probably my most thought-out story in regards to worldbuilding and characters, so there's plenty of history behind the Sky Navy among other things.

Seeing this made me think of a classic scene from a movie where it's during a historical time where two lovers meet and the sun beams across their faces as they go for the closeup to a kiss.
