I've had this sitting on my USB for a while now and colored it up around the beginning of March while anticipating the conclusion of Chapter Four. Esther moves with her dad to LA and commutes four hours every two weeks on a bus to spend a fortnight with her mom who lives in CA Wine Country. Trent walks Esther to school the first few times when she's still getting used to the new urban neighborhood. Oh look I sort of attempted a background too. I can finally post more 80s AU stuff here without being cryptic! YAY!Related content

This is such an adorable drawing! I love the 'Miami Vice' style background and Esther looks adorable in that frilly blouse and alice band in her hair. Trent looks so proud of her and she looks excited about going to school. Great AU piece!

I really love the background, the silhouettes mending into where they're walking adds a really neat affect. Hester's hair is totally 80s hair too! All the pictures my parents have all the girls had hair similar to that style. (Are those...acid wash jeans too?!)

Oh no, she's wearing a frilly 'blouse' nooooo. They look like they're hurrying across a pedestrian crossing they only just made it in time to cross (you know how you look at each other in smug delight when you do that). The colours are wonderful, and it really does say '80s', I think its the cityscape single tone silhouette, and maybe the palm tree lol
