Description For the memory of my dad.

The images of him are fading from my mind. Memories of my youth with him as my dad, the most encouraging loving dad, are still there....just so foggy now. I see him in my girls. They alone make him shine.

This is Talitha Getty. She had a tragic start to her life. She died at 30. After her death her husband was asked how he was coping with the loss. His words are perfect "...pain does not evaporate". He's right. It slowly fades in time. So slowly.

thanks!! 3 days, but that's because I'd put it down after an hour or 2 of work so as not to just scribble the rest in frustration

Thanks!! It took FOREVER! The rest of her took like 2 hours, but I did the hair over a period of 3 days so as not to rush it. Watched movie while I drew it

I have really started to like charcoal. I get a depth that pencils don't give me. I use charcoal pencils & smudge sticks. VERY hard to erase charcoal so I have to be certain of my pencil stoke before I make it

Thanks! The hair took sooo long!! Worked on it while watching movies so I didn't get impatient. I put it down when I started getting frustrated (or I would have scribbled the rest )
