I wanted to call this Schwatsonlock in the 22nd Century, but it's too long. :/Anyhow, this is me indulging my newfound love of drawing these characters again. I actually drew this before the Valentine Day pics but didn't get around to colouring it until now. OMG, look, it's a background. >>
I find these two to be ridiculously cute. Holmes tries so hard not to get attached to Robo-Watson, and fails really quickly.

Oh, I totally agree. I'm surprised by how obscure it still is considering how much the Holmes fandom as a whole is flourishing at the moment.

I see a lot of Holmes fans don't know about it. Or outright hate it. I guess it's cause it was never really popular...like so many obscure cartoons from my childhood.
I've determined that I must somehow obtain a Robo!Watson plushie to squeeze. Why shouldn't someone want to hug him? :V

I only discovered the show very recently but I'm already in love with it (Sherlock Holmes + Science Fiction? Way to make a girl happy!). And you're right, it's so cute watching Holmes trying and failing to not like Robo!Watson.

Yeah it combines my endless love for Sherlock Holmes, Science Fiction and strange/cheesy/weird/whatever stories! You're right it's awesome to have someone to fangirl about it because everyone in my family seems to think I finally lost it since I told them (rather enthusiastically)about it (and there I thought they would be used to stuff like that by now.. ). I think I'm going to watch your deviations, because I don't want to miss any of it.

I don't really get why 'nobody' likes it, it's trashy in that awesome B-Movie kind of way, just the idea is awesome and even the animation is good for a show like this and it shows once again that Holmes is one of the best characters in literature regardless of the time and place the story takes place. Oh and yeah: YAY FOR OBSCURE FANDOMS!

And agreed; it seems that no matter what you do to him; whether you make the setting weird, or turn him into a mouse or whatever (I rewatched Basil the Great Mouse Detective today. So much love for that as well. <3 ), Sherlock Holmes will always be amazing.

Yeah you're right it also has that retro-thing about it and we definitely HAVE to get more Holmes-Fans into it, I think I'll start with posting something about it at Lj there just have to be at least some fans who like weird things like that |D.
I watched the new BBC-series 'Sherlock' a few days ago which is just another example that the time doesn't matter for Sherlock Holmes. Oh and I love Basil the Great Mouse Detective. Vincent Price, Basil Rathbone and (classic!) Disney <3. Good idea btw. I think I'm going to rewatch it as well.

Yeah true. XD It's not that much of a spoiler, but for me there was this moment where all I could think was 'stop flirting with Watson!' and then it turned out to be Holmes and it suddenly turned into the BEST SCENE EVER and I just had to rewatch it.

I started watching that series, but one thing that really bothered me about it was what on earth did they do to Holmes' hair and eye color, and seriously, what is with his sideburns?

XD I know what you mean. The character designs are very strange, aren't they? I have sort of a soft spot for sideburns though, so that didn't bother me, but it doesn't stop them from looking completely different to any other Holmes and Watson.

I was actually reading some fanfic where they mentioned offhandedly that there was weird pigmentation due to the reanimation process, I was wondering if they actually ever address it in the show. As far as I can tell, they don't seem to...
