Description
Lilith as a character was created about 15 years ago to appear in a couple of fanfics, I wrote when I was a child.Lilith - half human, half Cardassian - was born on DS9 in 2372. Before that, her pregnant mother, Shakaar’s wife and Dukat’s lover from the Mirror Universe (I know, I know, but when I was 8 I really liked things to be as complicated as possible ; )) managed to escape with her son from Terok Nor to DS9, where she was taken care of by the family of her counterpart from the regular reality. Thanks to that Lilith with her brother and mother could live peacefully on the station, and, later on, on the Earth. In my stories Lilith wasn’t more than 5 or 6, but now I decided to draw the grown up version of her.
Drawing this was a lot of fun, although I encountered lots of technical problems as it’s been my first finished picture since… quite a long time. Fortunately ~sagelith was there to answer all my “Are you sure it looks alright?” and “Why not?” questions : ).
Anyway I hope you’ll enjoy it : )

You know, now that I look closely at this, I can really see how you subtly introduced Gul Dukat's facial features and proportions, but feminized them. Very good job!

Oh, I’m really glad, that you’ve noticed that : ) Drawing a female Dukat was quite a challenge for me, especially as a year ago I had very little experience in drawing in general.

Where I see it the most is in the looooong neck (of course! ) and in the mouth and teeth. That's definitely Dukat's smile!
The eye ridges aren't Dukat, as much, but it's possible that if Cardassian genetics are like ours, he was carrying a recessive gene for a different ridging pattern, and of course the lack of a corresponding human gene means that other pattern would be expressed without interference from any gene originating with the mother.
(Genetic issues like that also make me think that in order to have a healthy child, Lilith's mom would've had to get medical help.)

Yes, it is his smile and neck ^^
She wasn't to have his eyes though, but rather hers [link] as her mother was a mirror Cassidy - and I know I haven't succeed much at that, but that was the general plan ; ).
To be honest, I haven't thought about her ridges from the genetic point of view, but now I totally agree with you. I also agree with that, it would be dangerous to have a cross-species child, but there was everything alright with Ziyal. Besides, Lilith wasn't a planned child, so when her mother got pregnant she didn't have much of a choice whether she was partially Cardassian or not

I didn't mean the ridges couldn't look like anyone but Gul Dukat's. I figure the chances of them looking like Dukat's would be fairly high, but a recessive gene could also express itself and cause a different shape, as we see in Lilith. So your drawing is still plausible.
And if Lilith's mother wanted to keep the child, I see no reason why she couldn't have voluntarily sought out the appropriate treatments.

I know, but I see your point. And Lilith’s mom most definitely wanted and had a proper care – especially on the “our” side of the mirror : )

Well she’s actually not a version of a myth as Lilith is pretty regular Jewish name. But yeah, in both, stories in roleplays, she was considered to be somewhat demonic (it might have also been the case with the rest of Dukat’s children though ; ) )

This is a great drawing, and I love her backstory 8D It took me a minute to realize that by "Terok Nor" you were referring to the mirror universe, and I was thinking "...wait, she escaped Terok Nor to get to DS9? THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE OMQ SHE'S--oh, wait..." Herp derp 8D
Anyway, fantastic picture and an interesting character. (=
