New year, new bby, new art that only took like till the end of the month to happen

Gorgeous new child I adopted from the lovely (her adopts are so nice, do check out her gallery!)

Meet Charis, a somewhat shy and timid little lady who usually drops leaves and berries as she walks about. She loves wildberries and ladybugs, and lights the dark with her lantern of fireflies. *v*

I don't usually buy adopts lol but was wanting something fast and simpler to warm-up with after a month of not drawing, but my own OCs felt too detailed to attempt lmao / isaterribleparentplz
Then this beautiful girl popped up and I couldn't resist gawd, her design is so niiice and my favourite colours to colour huuurrr (black and white eheheh)

Actually I really like drawing designs by others, people are so good at getting such a nice balance of simple yet eye-catching.
Whereas all I can manage to come up with are god-defying details that put me off drawing when I just want to do something simple
