I didn't get very far on my comic goals over break (storyboarding and life stuff came up, hahah) but I still really want to be able to stick to my goal of two comic pages a week, so, here's a start-! I'm gonna try to keep a Monday-Friday update schedule going, wish me the best of luck hahahah;;So, this is a comic I did the roughs for last 24 Hour Comics Day, it's only about 15 pages or so total, but I thought it'd be a good project to tackle now and finish. you guys wouldn't believe how many comic WIPs I've got hahah;;;
But, uh, yeah. It's just a little random character interaction thing/idea I've always had in my head, so, we'll see if it translates, it might not make a ton of sense hahah, sorry in advance;;;
Still, hope you guys enjoy the ride! I'm trying to learn how to work looser in my comics, so here's to trying that out-!

My personal comic goals are more like... "make at least one comic a year". I don't mean 2 page, haha, but something over 20, and make it complete, not just a rough sketch, something I proudly share, somethign that others understand too (liek fragments just doesn't make sense on their own). If there are starting of other comics too, all the better but I really need to FINISH things. So a complete comic a year is a good start for that to me. XD
Especially because at the meantime I have to work on other aspects of the stories as well (outline, studies, scripts ect) and sometimes I just wanna draw too, not only do comics. XD

A-Ahhhhhhhh, yes, I... I haven't properly "started" Iris as in, from the first page or anything, I'm still doing side-stories and whatnot ahahaha, it's such a big story (it feels, to me), that I'm still really intimidated by it, ahahahah;;; B-But, I really do hope to start it soon, I'm sick of waiting-!! ;=;
And that's a good goal though-!! 20+ pages of a story, mmmnnn that's nice. I feel you, I want to do so much other stuff too, but lately I've really been itching to do more comics...

For me it's Age of Phoenix. I have possibly shorter ideas with only one or two main characters. It scares me and I often want to do something else... But it pulls me back, no matter how much I struggle against it. I have no idea how I will be able to do it. But I surely cannot not do it, so I might as well try.
Yeah, I suppose it's "nice". Not very good if you have long stories, but I have to start somewhere. XD
Haha, comics are evil. XD By the time I finished the cat one I didn't want to see comics for a month at least. Yet a week later I was excited to go on with another one. XD Sadly I got sickly since than so I have no energy to pull it through. I only do my writing goals for now (daily 1000 words 5x a week) to keep building/improving the Age of Phoenix one.

Aaahhhhhh, writing daily is another good goal too-!! I should do that again, ahahaha...
But yeah, short stories are good enough for now I feel... we'll keep taking those little steps-!! Comics are soooo much work, but I'm hoping with more experience and practice they can feel more natural to me, and then I can get into the groove of just always working on pages...

Sadly it's really hard to keep to it, i find. I either get up 1,5 hours earlier than my son or try to maintain a fresh brain by evening. Early wake is somewhat easier (at least when I'm not sickly and I go to bed around 9-10 PM XD)
Yes, it's tough for sure. But I'm sure you'll get even better, your determination and passion surely will bring you a long way!
