Description
Yeah, I know, I suck at action sequences. Sorry. :/I just hope that it's clear what's going on on this page...? It's a pretty weak page, so uh, yeah.

I agree that you're actually really good at action sequences!
You just need to work on the transitions between frames.
As in, how your eyes move between each window and giving space for your images because they're individually lovely. c:

Ahhhhh, th-thank you very much for the feedback, that's flattering to hear! I know, I have a lot of uhm, panel spacing issues... I think I always end up trying to cram too many onto one page, hahah! I'm going to try my best to space those out more--something about trying to sketch these pages traditionally just makes me overcrowd them like whoah.
Thanks so much for the honest comment though really--it's very much appreciated.

I'm only able to recognize it because it's something I do myself. c:
I have to consciously think about it to not do it.
not just spacing out necessarily but how to transition images in one panel to another I guess... space helps that out a lot though! So does just being conscious of the shape of your panels and where your objects and lines direct your eyes.
I'm glad to give a crit if I can! I enjoy it a lot xD I could tell you were someone who would appreciate a fresh set of eyes and you've got a really cool comic coning along, yeah?
(nice icon btw, songoku)

Mmmn, you're right, I really should look at it more. The more I draw comics, and the more I read comics the more I realize how little I know, and how much can be done with comics! @v@;; It's really intimidating, to be quite honest, hahah.
And ahhhhhh, hahahahaha, ohman you know who son goku is!!

I think doing art at all has an intimidation factor to it. It's a scary field to be pursuing. I think you're approaching comics the right way though. You'll only get better by making and reading enough of them that you improve naturally. It still baffles me how much work and awareness goes into someone making a really good comic. I tried comic making before and just couldn't get it off the ground which is why I'm trying again!
Haha xD I better. I did a cosplay of son goku once.
(Although, hay, can't say every cosplayer actually knows what they dress as)

Gyah, yeah! Every time I see an incredible comic layout I'm just like... b-b-but... but how does a human being THINK of something so amazing????
And ahhh, which version of Goku did you cosplay? DBZ or Saiyuki--or something else?? 8O

An old videogame version of SonGoku. Lady-style! [link]
I've always liked SonGoku's character in Saiyuki stories though c:
I ask myself this too! Only on how human beings think in terms of Graphic Design. I took a GD class at a point and was baffled at how you just need a whole different way of thinking to tackle that stuff.-- I have no talent in this whatsoever.

There you go again. Saying the opposite of what's really going on.
You don't suck at action sequences.
It's clear what's going on.
It's a strong page.

B-B-But I drew the action lines in the wrong direction on his face and I should've used a thinner line and I don't know when to blur anything and and and yeah D:>

I see. Is that what the teacher said or is this just you imposing your own strict standards.

You learn how to draw it the same way you learn how to draw anything. Practice practice practice. And look at how other people do it.

I, I guess... I wish someone would teach me the fundamentals, though, because I really don't get it and the professor really didn't help much with it. :/

I guess it depends on what you mean by 'action'.

I really like that simple wing poking in on panel 6. Such a simple but effective way to convey a crow in flight.
Also a nice subtle bit of page harmony, whether intentional or no, as the wing points directly at the tree as if guiding Corryn there on a meta-spatial level ~ ŠP

Hahahahaha I can't tell if I'm doing this meta stuff consciously or not anymore because I am SO FULL OF META CRAP and it worms its way into all my work as I try to throw in symbolic bits, ahah~ xD
I'm trying to work on creating depth in my pictures, but holy hell is it a hard thing to do, man. D:

I'm always happy when readers will point out depth that I didn't even know I'd put it. ŠD;;; It's like landing a three-point basket without trying~ â«
