Yessss that show was a fun trip. I mean I know the sharks were malicious but man did I feel bad watching them then murdered in front of that poor baby.

Th-those sharks were just hungry-!!! I feel jipped of a more detailed backstory for Shiranui, but I'm totally running with the assumption that those sharks saved his goddamn life and therefore they're wonderful and did nothing wrong and I just LOVE THEM ALL, SOB;;;;;;;;

They STARTED to hint at something and then just totally fuckin' dropped the ball, like, there's SO MUCH GOOD POTENTIAL THERE but they explored none of it, it pissed me off so much lmao! Dororo kinda fell apart in general in the second half imo, sigh...

There were so many plotholes/repetitive action by the second half, I had a hard time caring anymore hahaha xD;; But it had a lot of fun potential! The live-action looks.... huh, interesting (or I'm looking at the wrong/older one??) not sure haha
It was definitely a really strong adaptation of a Tezuka work though! I just hope studio MAPPA doesn't drop the ball on Dorohedoro too.....

It has been super surreal seeing, like, most of my favorite seinen titles get animated adaptations (Ajin, BLAME!, Dorohedoro, Blade of the Immortal (just got a new one on Prime??), Children of the Sea, Vinland Saga.... it's a golden age of animation right now!! ;o; )
