Studio 4C released a teaser trailer for the new Children of the Sea movie and I am OVER THE MOOOOOONN~!!! This is still hands-down probably my favorite manga of all time, it still feels so surreal to me to hear that it's getting a movie adaptation!!!I really hope Studio 4C can do this beautiful manga justice, it's looking wonderful so far-!! It's mentioned in the manga that Sora surfs but we never got to see it, so I wanted to draw it for myself xD
Sooooooo excited for this!!!

Also, Sora surfs?! I can't believe I forgot about that, then again it was never shown, but I suspect he's quite good at it.

Ahahahah!!! Yeah I remember Jim mentioning it somewhere in a later volume... he mentioned how the way Sora surfs is "unique", and I wanted to try and take a stab at it, only to realize that.. I could barely draw a normal surfing pose... XD;;
But yeah, thank you so much hahahaa!! And gosh honestly I feel like everything I'm a fan of is so obscure that I almost draw no fanart ever; but all of a sudden all of my favorite things are getting adapted into anime and movies, and I'm so hyped!! (I'm also super excited for the Vinland Saga anime and the Dorohedoro anime!!) It's been a crazy year for sure! XD

Damn lai this is such an awesome drawing! that looks like such a challangeing pose to do and yet you did it fantastically!
I probably wouldn't be able to draw a pose with the much foreshortening going on and keep that sense of flow and movement.
And seeing your previous anime reccomendation became my favourite show ever, I'm probably gonna have to check out Children of the Sea. I watched the trailer and it does actually seem pretty cool to me!

Ahhhhhhhh yessss!! I really love Children of the Sea!! It's a fairly slow-paced/atmospheric kind of manga, but very short at only 5 volumes and I just--I adore it so much!! And hahaha, the surfing pose was pretty tricky tbh, took me a while to figure out myself! XD Thank you!!
