Description Kitsunebi, Foxfire in Spring

β€œIn the promise of a new day
The night awakens
To the songs of the spirits

Lights flicker in the still
Beckoning to a secret land
To dance and play

Now the lights dim
And awaken to the new dawn

Renewed . . . β€œ

What a beautiful pic of the Kitsunes. This is definitely going in my favs. I have a nine tailed fox tattooed on my arm, the fox is my totem and I see the Kitsune connected with my totem. So in honor of her I have given my flesh in tattoos to he, well worth the pain. ^_^

I have experienced fox fires in the Philippines, but when I tried mediating on it . . . the kitsune spirit kept appearing . . . hence my first kitsune work

Thanks Nicole

Well the metallic gel pen does 'pop' when drawn on the black surface of the illustration board

But I do miss making scratch boards . . . which I used to make my own when I was a child

Thanks

I have always felt a strongs connection with the kitsune spirit and their counter parts in other countries . . . such as the Tikbalang and bayawak here in the philippines and the jakal in africa

You're welcome!

I love learning about the spirits in ancient cultures. Makes me wonder if I'll ever see any if I go to the place. I feel like my strongest connection is with dragons.

Well dragons do exist in all cultures

Another similarity is the belief that when the sun is shining bright with rain is falling, earth spirits choose this occasion to hold their weddings . . . in Japan it is the Kitsine, in the Philippines it is the Tikbalang, in Africa it is the Jackal

That's really interesting! Isn't the Jackal an African dog? (Or perhaps i'm thinking of something else...?)
