Stunning. It captures Divinity..as a mandala should. This was created through you from Spirit, a true artist you are. Very impressive on all levels.

Greeting Richard
My gratitude for your kind words
My largest mandalas are around 20x20 inches (51x51 cm) and the smallest are at 15x15 inches (38x38 cm)which is the size of this work. I do wish I could make larger works, but material, space and time constrains are also taken into account. I do plan to create a whole room mandala with metallic markers . . . one of these days. As I have many other visions to bring to life

I could stare at this all day and still find things to surprise me. It's so intricate and beautiful! And I love the Kabbalistic Tree of Life you drew in the center circle; it seems to glow. A lot of the blue lines seem to glow as well, and I find that fascinating. Beautiful job as always, Lakan. Keep up the fabulous work.

Greetings Holly
I do agree that these works can be very mesmerizing, as I often find my self staring at the mandalas in my house
I am glad that the metallic pens do give that glow you mentioned, because I am really trying to capture the very same visions (that I have) of sacred lines glowing in the dark

Yep visions are good . . .
But my wife used to complain, since I would have these visions at any time and would immediately march to the studio to either draw or write notes on it. That would leave her alone in the bed room
Then not she is fine with it, since she is now seeing the benefits these visions (and artworks) have brought to our lives

Aside for having that Asian knack for extreme detail, I do say that this is all a product of 40 of practice and discipline . . . in my younger days I didn't have the patience

Greetings Nyarma
Actually among many of my mandalas, this is the only one with an obvious flower of life as its core element, others have been integrated into the background. I do admit it is quite a test subject matter to render

How do you read this (may be a very very noobie type question).... 1 through four, clockwise/counter-clockwise?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Lakandiwa In reply to gonzalexx1 [2011-12-20 12:53:25 +0000 UTC]
Greetings Jose
In the meditation over a mandala, if you visualize your 'reading' as counter-clockwise then that is a regression meditation. If you conceive your meditation as clockwise then is a rebirth / reincarnation meditation
PS
I just read your journal, and I do think most people who like your post wouldn't be able to share it as fast as they would if it was on Face Book
