Description
So I'm working on a bomberman figure, and decided on this appearane, even though I can't for the life of me find the source.Β I shopped the pose to be more uniform, then went from there.Related content

Do you 3D print these, or do you make them from scratch? Still awesome! Bomberman is the best c:

I make them from scratch.Β 3D printing's a cheap copout for with a cheap finish.

Unless you can do it right.

Well yeah, but either way it isn't on par with injection molding or extrusion/tooling, so no matter what it's the worst option of the 3.

Usually a good amount of time, but I also procrastinate a great deal so.

You're a saint. The bomberman toys from back in the day suck.

I again hello I am, I have a question, I can use your Blueprint Bomberman to create a 3D model in Autodesk Maya with, I've been looking everywhere for a bummer, and I am asking for permission before you use it, I can use you Blueprint?
I'll give you credit for your effort in creating this wonderful blueprint, even it is for an articulated figure

Go for it.Β I might be updating the cleanliness of the lining around the head soon so you may want to wait a bit.Β I also just did some stuff for the feet, though they're a bit inconsistent... but give me some time and I'll have them all done and send you a file.

many thanks for you letting me use the blueprint, what changes I can expect as I think of giving animation, and the anatomy of characther is very important too, as well as your topology,Β anyway, thank you very much

I also sent you a message on FB explaining some other problems.

there's the foot that was what I needed to do to make the character in 3D
itself, this is a blueprint exelnte, hopefully this blueprint can work for you to do really a Bomberman articulated, if I tubiese Paypal account, I would like to buy one for you

And again, if you have problems or don't understand something, or somethign comes up that's inconsistent that may need some alteration, just note me here or message me on FB.
Something I just remembered, the foot in the side profile is not accurate to the foot on the right section, so only pay attention to the work to the right for the foot.
And the curled up diagram should be ignored for all measurements, some things aren't up to date.

Okay,Β maybe in the future I do a tutorial on youtube on how to mold Bomberman using you blueprint
I analyzed the model and perfect, so I have to watch what is on the anatomy, and the topology of the body

I don't think I'm goign to make more than one.Β The first will be a bitch alone just because of the difficulty in making the head hollow, among other things.

Keep in mind some things aren't 100% consistent.Β Some things are estimates based on how they appear, like portions of the up/down head view to the far right.Β The feet are the same deal, but they're possible with just the side/front/top/down views.

..and apparently some nonsense got in the way by the crotch.Β Hopefully that won't be an issue, it's probably one of the feet having some white in the layer.

How do you make ball and socket joints? It always seemed like magic the way they are done.

Well for this, it's going to be dremeling out circular sections using several dremel bits.Β They usually turn out well, but I like to make sure they're just right.

I think that's Bomberman from Bomberman 64 or Bomberman Hero, incidentally my favorite version of him.

The CG seems to fit a bit, but the proportions do not.Β So I was under the impression it was like Bomberman Tournament/story, even though it has the closest proportions.Β But they aren't identical, so I really don't know.

What do you intend to use him for? Will he just be a display piece or do you intend to animate him?
I assume head design B means there will be a large hole on the underside of the head?
π: 0 β©: 1
Lalam24 In reply to Alistu [2014-10-26 00:59:33 +0000 UTC]
Just for display/posing.Β It'll be a hole with a disc, so the glaring part will be the seam.

Alistu In reply to Lalam24 [2014-10-26 11:30:41 +0000 UTC]
Being the perfectionist I am, I would go with the restricted movement for the better finish.
π: 0 β©: 1
Lalam24 In reply to Alistu [2014-10-27 02:42:20 +0000 UTC]
Thing is, then you wouldn't have the proper animated movement, which is definitely something I'd like a bit more.
But in general, there's already a lot of cuts in the design.Β I'll just have to see how it works out.Β If it in the end it doesn't look good, I can always go to the other setup.

Went with the non appearance damaging one.Β The real issue is that I wouldn't be able to get it in without making it two piece, then either learning to deal with the seam and make it removable, or have it so that I cover up the seam and can't ever remove the joint or anything else for future problems or anything.
I'll just make it so that the neck can pop up/down so it can have some better range.
