Description Part 2 of [link] (hence the same background and clothes)

So here we have the princesses as the stars of their own blaxploitation movie! Their poses are taken directly from posters of movies featuring Pam Grier, blaxploitation queen extraordinaire. She's the only actress of the genre to whom part of the money when you rent her movie goes.

More specifically, the posters I based myself on are: [link] for Peach's pose and [link] for Daisy's pose (obviously, the shotgun was replaced by a fire flower)

You'll have notice that both those posters have all those weird and wonderful action poses at the bottom. I didn't fill mine as much, but basically, you have the girl kicking a bad guy's ass (Toadette), a menacing-looking guy (Toad... relatively speaking), the main guys (Luigi and Mario) and the bad girl, which is played by Rosalina (I will NOT draw a picture of Rosalina alone, this is the last of the series). The kart is for a kart chase full of danger (well, a banana, in this case) and the generic bad guy is a goomba.

Yeah, I can't say that I draw Toad (or Toadette) very often, even less so with mushroom-afro >.<
But no, non of those curls... lol, it's the wrong era, I think^^ (I can't say I'm a fan of them, either... Too 80s)

Blaxploitation is a type of movie, actually^^
Exploitation films are pretty but B-movies, most of the time, and base themselves on crazy ads, stars, sex and violence.
Blaxploitation movies are basically exploitation movies made for urban black communities in the '70s and so. [link]

Quentin Tarantino copied the genre in Jackie Brown, which is obviously a name copied from Foxy Brown, and stars the lovely Pam Grier (whom I mention in my comment).

After seeing your gallery, I'm double happy you like it^^ (although I kind of failed at the bone structure thing on Peach >.<

You know, growing up in New York, I used to watch those kinds of movies all the time, since the neighborhood I grew up in was mostly Back American and West Indian, and I never knew they were called that.
