The shot has a good potencial, but the sky is too blown off. Overall its over highlighted. And it's no point to rest the eyes... (you asked for cristiques...just telling a little based on my little knowledge on photography!)

I agree, I think the camera settings were off for that to happen - if it's not that, I have no idea why it happened, but it's happened a few times and ruined a perfect shot.
Maybe I will see if there is any color there in Photoshop, or if it's just completely white!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention!

Well, I think it possible you to add more colors, or, if you would like to make it more pastel like looking, then you should actually decrease the saturation. But it depends on what you intend to do: A warm, coloreful image which invites the viewer to go there or a pastel, colorless image, which gives the idea of loneliness. It's up to your imagination!

I found more problems I made during editing, and I've fixed it up again.
I was going for a warmer photo with a decent color balance, so it looked real. The forest colors are more like the original now but the rock is warmer and the sky adds to the atmosphere.
I'm done editing this one, I don't think I've edited any single photo this much.
Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it.

I think its a beautiful shot, I like how you can see the mountain slope in the bottom right, it breaks up the shot a bit.
I think you could even crop this more for a greater defined effect. But overall great job I love the pic!

Crop which side?
Thanks for the feeback!
I haven't actually touched this one yet, it's as I shot it, so suggestions are welcome!

Well I just took a look at a couple options, if you were to keep the pic uncropped (or slightly cropped but keeping the sky) I would darken the sky dramatically... Bring out the blues in the water, try to create a greater contrast from blue water to gray slate of the mountain.
For fun I looked at a crop of just the bottom, where the water crashes into the bottom of the mountain.
Whats great about this pic is that you have so many possibilities you can do. Its a great base shot. Im excited to see what you do with it! Its great you take feedback, I think it makes us better artists when we can do so hehe... plus ideas from so many other talented people always get my creative side going.
Good luck! Cant wait to see what you do

That took a while, but here it is!
I fixed the sky. The shot now has a darker feel to it. I still have the original, I can start over! Lol.

It's great, well worth the effort to get there, although it can get busy, so I suggest going early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Also, expect to get a little damp with the spray!

Yeah I'm thinking snowmobile. I'm pretty sure its 12 km or so and that's 24 both ways so a long hike when the days are short. If I can't get there soon I'll wait.
