Description
Custom G4 pony. Princess Luna!I'm scared of cutting her hair so I haven't yet. I also think I'd add her horn later next time since gluing it before I rehaired didn't seem to work so well. I also would make it thinner. it's this chubby cut little crown that looks nice but I can't get the hair to do what I want.
She's been rehaired with dollyhair Water Hyacinth. It's really really pretty. Rarity head and Rainbow Dash body (hence the bedroom eyes). Crown, breastplate and shoes were done in apoxie clay. Painted with Acrylics. Sealed with Testors Dullcote which I like WAY more than the gloss I used on Firefly and Hoity.
She looks a little mischievous. I think she's plotting to drop hot pepper into Celesta's breakfast or something. Overall I'm very pleased with her!

Man, Hasbro should just let fans do all the toy work, 'cause it seems it's only the fans that get things RIGHT! Amazing work!

Yes and I started this before that one was announced and I think the official one looks stupid.

Sweetie, your opinion on a soulless hunk of factory produced plastic hardly matters here, now, does it? Customization is an incredibly detailed, painstaking operation that eats up a large chunk of any artist's time, and its goal is to produce a unique, one of a kind original piece of art, based on what the artist desires the outcome to be.
So instead of leaving boorish and borderline insulting commentary, why don't you pause to consider just how much time and love was invested in piece this instead? Or better yet, try doing one yourself. See how long and how much work it takes to bring your concept to life. Just because an "official" version of something exists is no reason to try and discourage someone from producing their own original version. Think before you spout off.
For instance, I'd never buy an official Celestia because they made her toy version frigging PINK, but I would consider customizing a pony to make it look the way she's supposed to in the show. Often times, the official toys are created by the standards the marketing department thinks will sell, so they don't match the way they're "supposed" to look. So maybe it "looks okay" to you, but those of us with more exacting standards will continue to do things our way.

I didn't think their comment was boorish, discouraging or close to insulting - it simply sounded like they were trying to be informative. I do agree with you, though, about the official Celestia toy, and it looks like these customizations take a LONG time to do...
