This guy really caught my eye when I saw him in your FA gallery.
I think its one of the best color patterning details you have done in a while. Honestly.
I notice a new things every time I look at it.
I also like that though he was based off of a blue-jay's color, you didn't follow the patterning exactly. I think it works a lot better that you were just inspired by the pattern and made something completely different and your own out of it.
I also like the shades of blue where you used them too, like the lighter blue down the spine. I think it high-lights his anatomy well without over doing it with added line work.
