Description Ultra Fractal 4.04

Made entirely in Ultra Fractal.


I don't know if I can call this a fractal; it's more like a digital image made in a fractal program. I rarely set out to make something specific in UF but this time was an exception: I wanted to make a European-type window with flowers. I made it.

Making images with fractals mostly involves an awful lot of masking to isolate shapes and then putting them together to make other things. It's time-consuming.

I very much like your take on fractals, but I do wish that the file names were there, instead of random stings of numbers and letters, for those of us who wish to save them as wallpaper. Also, why not have larger sizes?

You deserved every bit of it!!! I **LOVE** that piece!!!! It's simply breathtaking!!! I want to see if I can do something like that one of these days! It's such a wonderful idea! The colors you chose were great too! The adobe coloring and texture of the house is plain enough not to detract from the flowers but still gorgeous in itself! It's a wonderful piece! I'm still learning both Apo and GIMPshop so I'm not that good yet but looking at what other artists do and trying my hand at it helps me to see where I'm lacking and need improvement. It also helps me learn how to do things with the programs that I probably wouldn't have thought of doing on my own. So doing something like this is *definitely* on my list of things I want to try! You already gave me an idea of how to use this one raw fractal I came up with one day that looked kind of like wheat stalks! I used it in one of my marbles as a deco but I think it would work very well in a piece like this! I think I want to try tackling the whole front side of the house though... maybe with some flower beds.
