You are most welcome Kat! I can't wait to see your next homeworks! Janet has a way of inspiring people to bring out their best works. I know that I was not only greatly inspired, but I just wanted to show her how much I loved and appreciated her teaching by making "gifts" for her with my homeworks.

WOW, this is beautiful! My boyfriend says that this would make a great cover for a Symphony or Orchestra CD.... and I have to say that I agree... the colors are perfect and it just says so much more that I can't express.....

What I like about this, is it is so solid-looking. I can really imagine it being an intricate metal sculpture. Great homework!

OK. Now I officially hate you
One of the WIPs I have for this assignment is based on a very similar idea to this [Kat-> <-Gill]. However, mine doesn't have this detail & depth, this palpable sense of movement, this complexity of design, this wonder of texturing and richness of colour. If I wasn't sitting here with a stunned look on my face - of total admiration, I hasten to add - I'd be slumped in a corner banging my head against a wall and crying
It's totally marvellous, Kat. The lines and texture instantly made me think of music: it's a fractal Stradivarius!

Percentages say I have to get things right once in a while. It's all an accident, though. They say a stopped clock is right twice a day, too.

And I have to add something: Although I am not a particular friend of digital frames, in this image I like how the line idea also repeats by following the shape of the canvas.

Yes, music, it's true, the vibration could be the strings of a violin resonnating. I especially like the textures, the subtle change of color shades and yes, the way the "strings" are following the main shape.
