I watched Aggretsuko and it was great! I loved it and Retsuko is just so relateable. This is my interpretation of her
did you watch this show? Did you like it?Personally I love how this shows talks about important matters such as work, love, finding your place in the world or keeping up appearances. It is a bitter sweet look at the life of a frustrated and lonely working persn trying to fit in the society.

Reluctant to ask since this is a very well executed picture, but how exactly is this an interpretation of Retsuko?
The colour scheme is different, the clothes are different, the accessories are different, the single teardrop is neither present in her ordinary or "metal" mode, and there is nothing about her constitution that resembles a red panda. The only thing that hints at it is the hair - not so businesslike - looks vaguely like her anthro silhouette.
I think I need this one explained. Is there something going on here that I missed?

Ithink this looks pretty much like her. Given that Retsuko is Asian, so is the girl here with black hair. Her hair buns resemble the ears and hair shape the head of Retsuko. The clothes are kept more in the dark clothes to represent her metal side and the touch of red symbolizes red panda. Not everyone has to draw her personification as a red haired girl/ blond girl just because it's a red panda. This approach is far more unique/clever in my opinion and I love it!

i think they were going for more of a typical japanese appearance, rather than directly pulling off of the character
