I think that's one of the most intense scenes I l've ever experienced while playing. I would have NEVER, I swear NEVER, imagined to see Sonya falling in love with someone! However Michail was... REALLY clever to trap her between guilt, duty, admiration, empathy and compassion and well...spot-on XDAt the end of the tough quarrel the Ventrue lingers when she offers him the sword and attempts a tender gesture. Sonya is torn... She knows the Ventrue's true feelings about her and doesn't want to hurt him but on the other hand... she doesn't even know how she is feeling about him anymore. She stands still staring him, glassy-eyed and...one thing leads to the other. Well... She's lived 800 years without having a
A SINGLE human connection and then she has this crush for the cainite who for centuries had been her role model...well, not bad XD

Alla fine della soffertissima discussione il Ventrue indugia nel prendere la spada che lei gli porge e tenta una timida carezza. Sonya è combattuta… conosce i sentimenti che il Ventrue prova per lei e non vuole ferirlo illudendolo ma d’altra parte… non capisce più cosa prova davvero lei per lui. Resta praticamente paralizzata fissandolo con gli occhi vitrei e… da cosa nasce cosa. Ebbene… arrivare a oltre 800 anni senza aver MAI provato legami umani e poi prendersi una cotta per il cainita che per secoli è stato il tuo esempio di sentiero… una botta non male XD

Lol! Well, I usually decide what my npc do following what a pc do. If Sonya is in love there are many different chances for me... She can be easily manipulated or she can guarantees some privileges or protection, she can change her mind and diablerize poor Michail... Or be diablerized... Everything is a part of the game but... I'm sorry for larkabella nothing will be easy and she still have to find out a big pile of shit covered by glitter and gold!

Michail at the bottom has been the shield for centuries ... (without her knowing it, and this bothers her but ... also makes her feel in debt -.-). I've never loved stereotypes ... every vampire before being hugged was a person ... so every vampire has aspects of his clan ... and his aspects. All the Michail line of blood ... (as you will discover reading the sequel, do not worry: P) is composed of a large number of high-level bastards and with very little honor XD .... but he poor wretch ... he was the black sheep!
Even Tzimisce with the nature of a knight is not just the world is full of the rest ... they are two poor lokness monsters who see for the first time something as strange as their XD

I really do not understand why you insist on imagining that all the vampires of a clan are made with the stencil XD. Sonya killed Michail's younger brother ... she is still at war with her father and will probably attempt suicide against his former lover inconnu (another ventrue ... but of 5 ^^ ') ...
Sonya for the rest is a sort of Lady Brianne, anachronist, who has difficulty accepting new policies and as the world now turns ... I do not see anything strange in the fact that she may have fallen in love with another fossil like her, as unsuitable as she to the modern world ... regardless of the clan belonging to XD

Well lark I irrationally hate Ventrue, since I found out they are more BlueBloods than Tzimisce, many years ago, so yeah I find them boring and too adapted to the modern world as rich businessman, and I do understand your point that vampires don't have to follow clan Archetypes, but again IRRATIONAL.
So if you are a Ventrue I will flay you alive grind the rest of your body intu ashes, destroy your soul, and use your skin as a bathroom to my dog for all eternity (ghouled puppy).

starting from the point that ... I dont like too the Ventrue of the modern age XD ... to tell the truth ... I do not like almost any clan for how they degenerated in the modern (removed perhaps the Gangrel ... their never change XD)
I think Sonya would not even consider a miserable businessman as an ally.XD XD XD
Then of course ... the Ventrue have always been the most impassioned nobles of the carpathian lords ... but their old concept darkage, that of the knights and moarchs, was pretty cool and ... well, Michail is the one that reflects, for this she has made Sonya longing for the only times she has loved (she was born in 1000 ... like him, and she is damned anachronist and hates the time's evolution -.-)
however, I repeat ... when I created her, I was CERTAIN that she would NEVER fall in love! Much less than a male ...
However, when you play a character ... if you really fall in him, in his past, in his frustrations, in his ideals and also in his deliriums and his fears ... sometimes things happen that you would never have expected . By the way I don't see the Ventrue changing that much from Dark Ages to Modern, back then Nobility was more important but they still were money grabbers just instead of bank accounts they were focused on gold. And instead of making gold from investiments they had trade routes and other stuff.
They are less millitary nowdays wich is also less fun, losing the Knighthood aspect, but still they are power hungry as ever, just too flimzy to do the work themselves.
So they will show you great values and pretend to be honorable and all, while it is convenient, when it is not there comes the knife in the back.

to tell the truth I never played a Ventrue XD ... of the clans playing with financial power, I must say, I prefer the Johns among all. The old concept of the mafia of the godfather's times plus the family perversions and necromancy are a very fascinating mix. For the rest ... I think I would always play gangrel, but after 20 years it becomes boring not to change a little so ... maybe in the next Live I will even throw in a Settita (the clan with which I probably have more problems ... I have not the fabric for the XD corruptor)

hahaha well, if you've seen / read the drawings about my Jessica Giovanni ... you'll have seen her sabbatical mentor, Demetrius. is the png I fell in love most in that campaign (and by the way ... at one point we realized that we had already met him in a previous Darkage campaign ... even though he was very human, almost in odor of holiness ... and called himself Father Demetrius, of the Cappadocian clan: P)
