Hey Joseph i am thinking of doing an acrylic painting my self any suggestion on material or any useful tip youd like to part my way would be much appreciated.

acrylic's pretty forgiving- you can paint right over any portion you need to and it dries quickly. I'd suggest using an extender gel/medium to thin it and mix it down...you can keep it moist on your palate by using a wet newspaper with a wet magazine page on top ( mine is on top of a plastic storage container, I just put the box over it to keep it moist when not in use).
