Description
This photograph was shot a couple of weeks back. This morning firemen finally got a huge fire threatening eastern suburbs under control - 16,ooo hectars of land was already lost. The smoke from that fire is what created the thick, orange blanket of fog you see laying over the city. Though I didn't care much for the smell, the smoke gave the light an extra warm tone this morning.________________________________________

This is an amazing shot; the colors are perfect with the lighting of the golden hours, the composition is flawless and well complemented by the wonderful black framing. I don't know how I missed this one before!

Well, I know what you mean, but to us it's good because the colours are great and also the water-exotic vegetation-water-skyscrapers composition is very compelling and refreshing.
And lol why do you even mind if we keep faving it?

Frankly, because that image is 4 years old, and I don't do landscapes anymore. It's cool that people like it, but I'd much rather have feedback on my more recent work.
I have the original around here somewhere though, maybe I'll remove that airbrushing some day

Yeah I've got the original too, cause people on dA have the awful tendency to delete their work for no good reason

Is it something you could or would just take down? It made me sad; it looked like you took a can of red spray paint to your otherwise lovely shot, haha.

A beautiful shot! Love the contrast between the serene water-birds in the foreground and the busy-looking (though seemingly quite peaceful) city in the background
