Description
This photograph was shot a couple of weeks back. This morning firemen finally got a huge fire threatening eastern suburbs under control - 16,ooo hectars of land was already lost. The smoke from that fire is what created the thick, orange blanket of fog you see laying over the city. Though I didn't care much for the smell, the smoke gave the light an extra warm tone this morning.________________________________________

Ikke dΓ₯rlig i det hele tatt! pene farger, selvom det var bittelitte granne noise.
Perth er en flott by forΓΈvrig!
Heier du pΓ₯ westcoast eller Freo?

Beautiful shot! A month back I spent quite a bit of time in Perth and your picture made me homesick.
I love the depth of the picture, there are so many layers to it. Well done!

looks really good.
Befor i read the description i thought it was morning dust that created the morning atmosphere.
i like the way of these two "seperated worlds". the little one in front with the ducks and the smooth water and the other one with their skyscrapers.

It's interesting how destruction on such a large scale can create a scene as calm as this - as you pointed out the effect created by the colours is quite nice. I like the transition from emerald like water at the bottom of the frame to the warm pastels up above. Beautiful capture!

The colours in the water alone are well blended, and the picture composition is nicely balanced. The contrast between the buildings and the immediate scenery separates the environments nicely yet subtly, and the conditions - calm water, ducks in the water, and little wind - are spot on. My favourites will make room for this one that's for sure.

Gorgeous. I've never been a big fan of skyline pictures, but this one has a definite warmth... Love the trees, love the reflections, love the ducks, love the colors.
Love the city, too - Perth was my favorite city in Oz. !

Beautiful! At first I thought This is a great skyline shot - and then the ducks in the foreground appeared and added that something special - a sense of scale - a perfect contrast of a smaller quieter world compared to that of the city. Wonderful!!
